Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Me Khayal Aata Hai

The city is built
To music, therefore never built at all,
And therefore built forever.
~Alfred Lord Tennyson
A composer of the music of the classical Umrao Jaan or the commercial movie like Kabhi Kabhi. He is gem of the bollywood music. Mohammed Zahur "Khayyam" Hashmi, who is better known as Khayyam by his fans is a great composer and defintely he desrved this award. Bollywood has been the source of relentless music for the Indians and undoubtedly Khayyam Saab is a great entertainer. I salute you sir especially for the words which were told by you during the Filmfare award ceremony when you said that you are still active and you want to carry on with this job. God must give you the strength and we are eager to hear some of the best tune from you. This is the devotion of such great human beings who worked continuously and gave such beautiful songs. A time when most of his contemporaries are leading the life of retired persons, he is still in search of the best tunes. if the name has some meaning then it proves with Khayyam Sahab as his name matches with Omar Khayyam.
He gave a new dimension to Asha Bhoshle when she sang Dil Cheez Kya Hai. No one would have expected then the singer who was more known for her romantic songa can sing ghazals too.He made this happen.A man who was born in Punjab had the understanding of the folks of Bihar and U.P. too. He had such a great instinct which can be seen in this song in "Kahe Ko Byahi Bides" of Umrao Jaan.
Ye kya jagah hai doston.................................
